Health, Safety & Environmental Manager

A vacancy exists for a Health, Safety & Environmental Manager based within the Operations Division, but providing a site and potentially group-wide service.

     Duties will include, to:

  • Develop and report HSE Key Performance Indicators
  • Coach and guide leadership team to improve safety culture and compliance
  • Define and develop HSE policy and improvement strategies
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert for all HSE issues and link with external agencies
  • Ensure root cause analysis of all significant incidents and train others accordingly
  • Develop and manage the site safety budget
  • Ensure full statutory compliance eg risk assessments, COSHH control

     The following attributes are required:

  • NEBOSH qualified, with experience of leading a safety function, Bachelor’s Degree (desirable).
  • Exposure to and experience of ISO14001 and ISO 18001 environmental and occupational safety.
  • Detailed knowledge of UK/EU safety legislation and experience of change management.
